This is most probably a medieval German pilgrim badge
In my estimation the badge had to be made probably between the 14th and 16th century. Badges of this kind this means made of silver are much rarer. Most were made of bronze, tin or lead - made for poorer people. This badge was very lavish engraved and filled with niello - images of a Christ on cross and inscription on the back side: "ne oblivifcaris mei" - "Do not forget me"
I think this badge was sewn to a garment - As a lucky charm - like on the last photo showing a medieval pilgrim with a bange on his hat.
2,8 grams, 26 mm diameter
